5 E. Mill Street, Mount Aetna, Berks County, Pennsylvania, 19544 USA

eter Woleber, founder of the Village of Woleberstown, now known as Mt. Aetna, donated land for the Church and Cemetery. Records began January 17, 1846 with the building being dedicated October 24, 1846. As with many small town churches, the congregation was both Reformed and Lutheran. On January 1, 1960, St. John's merged with Salem UCC in Bethel. The few remaining Lutheran members went to other Lutheran Churches or joined the Reformed congregation at St. Johns. St. John's left the United Church of Christ in 2003 to become an independent non-denomination church affiliated with the Evangelical Association of Reformed and Congregational Christian Churches. In July, 2016, St. John's and Salem in Bethel once again became separate churches.
