  Source: Bluffton News-Banner Monday, Jan. 8, 2007 Margaret A. McAfee, 77, of Ossian passed away at 12:45 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 7, 2007, at Markle Health Care after an extended illness. Mrs. McAfee worked as a Registered Nurse for 10 years at Wells County Hospital where her colleagues knew her as "Gibby." She also worked as an R.N. for 28 years at Caylor-Nickel Clinic where her colleagues knew her as "Mac." A 1946 graduate of Montpelier High School, she was a 1950 graduate of St. Joseph School of Nursing at Kokomo. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Yoder, and resided in Wells County for 55 years. Born on Jan. 28, 1929, in Muncie, she was a daughter of John M. and Bertha E. (Wilhems) Gibson. Her marriage on Oct. 13, 1957, in Indianapolis was to Owen McAfee, who preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1994. Survivors include four children, Jeffrey McAfee of Lebanon, Diann Dilley of Paducah, Ky., and Karen Goldsmith and Richard "Rick" McAfee, both of Ossian; siblings Olive Huggins of Hartford City and Anna Rose Runkle of Columbia City; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Carr. Calling is from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Thoma/Rich, Hewitt & Chaney Funeral Home. A rosary service is planned for 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Aloysius Church, Yoder, with Father Dominique Carboneau officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Bluffton Masonic Lodge #145.
