- Robert H. Clawges, 93, formerly of Womelsdorf passed away on Friday, May 1st, 2015 at the Southeastern Veterans Center in Spring City, PA.
His wife, Gladys H. (Kauffman) Clawges died on April 30, 2003.
Born in Reading on April 2, 1922, he was the son of the late Edgar H. and Elsie A. (Jones) Clawges.
He was a 1939 graduate of Reading High School.
Robert proudly served in the U.S. Army during WWII.
He started his career with the Reading Office of AAA, and retired as a Statistical Analyst from the Dana Corp after many years of service.
He was a member of Reading Moravian Church, where he served as Treasurer for 25 years, and also served on the Stewardship Committee.
He is survived by two sons, Robert H. Clawges husband of Helen, Melbourne, FL; and Steven W. Clawges husband of Cynthia, Wernersville; a daughter, Suzanne C. wife of Mitchell Ulrich, Overland Park, KS; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
Services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10:30 AM in Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, Inc., Wernersville, with Rev. Ron Rice officiating.
Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
Friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Funeral Home.
