- Lewis Clark Gerhart, 87, formerly of Gamber Road, Washington Boro, died Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at St. Anne's Retirement Community, Columbia. He was the husband of Pauline (Gerlach) Groff Gerhart.
Mr. Gerhart had worked for over forty years for Ford Motor Company in the Parts Department of local dealerships.
Born July 28, 1932, in Reading, Berks County, he was the son of the late George Elmer and Minnie (Bensing) Gerhart. Mr. Gerhart was a member of Manor Church, Lancaster. He also was a long-time member of Red Oak Hunting Club of Galeton, Potter County, PA.
Also surviving are two children; Todd L. Gerhart, married to Catherine Marie, of Exton, PA and Craig L. Gerhart, of Wernersville, PA as well as extended family and caring friends. He was also preceded in death by two siblings; Leon A. Gerhart and Jean E. Lamm.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from Manor Church, 530 Central Manor Road, Lancaster, PA 17603 on Monday morning, January 13, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. There will be a viewing held at the Andrew T. Scheid Funeral Home, 320 Blue Rock Road, Route 999, Millersville, PA 17551 on Sunday evening between 6:00-8:00 p.m. and also at Manor Church on Monday morning between 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. in the Hain's Church Cemetery, Wernersville, PA. Kindly omit flowers. Memorial Remembrances can be made in his memory to St. Anne's Retirement Community, 3952 Columbia Avenue, Columbia, PA 17512.
