- Donald R. Lutz, Sr., 83, of Wernersville, passed away Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017 at the Reading Hospital. He was the husband of Dolores “Dolly” (Fisher) Lutz, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage on June 5th.
Born in Wernersville, he was a son of the late Earl and Irene (Seip) Lutz.
He retired at 81 from Barnett’s Garage.
He was a member of the Lebanon Valley Sportsman Club, where he raised young trout for the local streams, Pioneer Hose, Robesonia, nad the Federated Sportmen’s Clubs of Berks County.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Terri L., wife of Herb Swisher, Wernersville; a son, Donald R. Lutz, Jr., husband of Barb, York; a brother, Barry Lutz, husband of Carol, Robesonia; a sister, Audrey, wife of Larry Kalbach, VA; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, and Dylan Lutz. He was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Lutz, and a sister, Lois Stohler.
Services will be held at 10:30, Saturday, Sept. 23, at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home, 243 W. Penn Ave., Wernersville. A viewing will be held 9:30-10:30 AM, at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Thomas Cemetery, Bernville.
