- Roy William Corriston, 68, Kansas City, Kan., died March 13, 1991, at Bethany Medical Center. He was a lifelong Kansas City, Kan., resident. Mr. Corriston worked at the General Motors Fairfax assembly plant for 47 years, retiring in 1989. He was a member of Local 31 of the United Auto Workers and was past vice chairman of the Skilled Trade Union. He was a member of the Bethel congregation of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a member of the Kaw Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite bodies and Ararat Shrine. He was past assistant district commissioner for the Boy Scouts of America. He formerly served on the board of directors of Family and Children Services of Wyandotte County Inc. He wa s a Navy veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Josephine Corriston of the home; two sons, William J. Corriston, Overland Park, and Mark A. Corriston, Kansas City; two daughters, Mary Blythe, Kansas City, Kan., and Janis C. Dow, Overland Park; his mother, Violet Bruner, Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Carl E. Corriston, Grandview, John O. Bruner, Kansas City, Kan., and Robert L. Bruner, Paola, Kan.; and six grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. today at the Highland Park Chapel; burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. The family suggests contributions to Cancer Action Inc.
