  Miriam S. Slaugh, 90, of North York, died at 9:05 p.m. Wednesday at Manor Care Health Services North. She was the wife of the late Richard M. Slaugh. A graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday in Prospect Hill Cemetery, with an Eastern Star service at 10:25 a.m. Viewing will be 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the William E. Little Funeral Home Inc., 60 S. Main St., Manchester. Mrs. Slaugh was born Sept. 17, 1909, in Lancaster County. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Lunita (Sheeler) Hamaker. She was the co-owner of Slaugh's Food Market in North York; prior to that, she worked for Wolfgang Candy Co. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where she was Sunday school teacher for 50 years; she was also a member and Past Worthy Matron of the York Chapter 169 Order of the Eastern Star and a member and past president of the North York Married Women's Club. Mrs. Slaugh is survived by two sons, Robert R. Slaugh of Manchester and Donald C. Slaugh of York; six grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. Officiating at the service will be her pastor, the Rev. Brenda M. Ritterpusch. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lehman Center, in honor of York Chapter 169 Order of the Eastern Star, 400 W.
