- Stouchsburg, May 17--Mrs. Eva A. Matthew, 76, wife of Willard F. Matthew, this place, died in the Twin Spruce Convalescent Home, Myerstown.
Born in Jefferson Township, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Amanda (Ruth) Feeg. Mrs. Matthew was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, Host, and its Mite Society. She also had been a member of its choir for 45 years.
A charter member of Marion Grange, here, she also was affiliated with the auxiliary to the Stouchsburg Fire Co.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, John W. Matthew, Womelsdorf, and Harland F. Beidler, Cleveland, Ohio; a daughter, Helen A. Matthew, Reading, and three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Two sisters, Mrs. Ella Miller, West Lawn, and Mabel, wife of Charles Pettiecoffer, West Reading, and three brothers: William Feeg, West Reading; Lloyd Feeg, Shillington, and John Feeg, Sinking Spring.
Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Danner Funeral Home, Womelsdorf, the Rev. Daniel Davis officiating. Burial will be made in St. John's Church Cemetery, Host.
