- Elwood W. Lutz, 86, Wernersville, died Jan. 18, 2011, of natural causes at Stone Ridge-Poplar Run in Myerstown.
He was the husband of Gloria S. (Berkenstock) Lutz.
He was predeceased by his previous wife, Shirley Lutz, in 1982.
Born in Sinking Spring, he was a son of the late Bert and Mary (Degler) Lutz.

Born in Sinking Spring, he was a son of the late Bert and Mary (Degler) Lutz.
He was a graduate of Sinking Spring High School and a graduate of McCann's School of Business.
Elwood served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He was letter carrier for the Wernersville Post Office for 37 years, retiring in 1986.
He was a member of St. John's Reformed Church in Sinking Spring and a member of the Womelsdorf VFW.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a son, Michael D. Lutz, and his wife, Brenda, Lititz; a stepson, Bruce D. Snyder, Wernersville; a stepdaughter, Donna Lewandowski, Glenmoore; a brother, Richard Lutz, Allentown; a sister, Marie Graeff, Wernersville; four grandchildren: Steven, Kara, Jennifer and Erin; four great-grandchildren: Hunter, Chase, Lilly and Piper; seven stepgrandchildren: Carly, Donald, Jessica, David, Michael, David and Lea; and two stepgreat-grandchildren, Dominic and Athena.
He was also predeceased by a son, Robert Lutz, in 2001; and a stepson, Bryan Snyder, in 1994.
Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Lamm & Witman Funeral Home Inc., Wernersville, with the Rev. Dr. Jon A. Fogle officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends are invited to call Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
