  Charles C. Groff, 78, of Bernville R.D. 3, died Wednesday morning at 10:15 in Reading Hospital, where he had been a patient since Feb. 21. He was the husband of Lottie E. (Lutz) Groff. Born in Strausstown, he was a son of the late Thomas and Stella (Lengle) Groff. Groff had been employed for 33 years by Rockwell International, Wyomissing, retiring in 1973 as foundry inspector. He was a member of Christ (Little Tulpehocken) United Church of Christ, Bernville R.D.2, and its consistory. In addition to his widow, he is survived by a son, Harold T. of Reading, and a granddaughter. Also a brother, Leon Groff, Hummelstown, and a stepbrother, Lester Groff, Hamburg.
