- Dorothea L. Parsons, 85, of Bern Twp. passed away on Sunday, July 5, 2015 at Manor Care in Sinking Spring.
Born in Penn Twp. on March 10, 1930, she was the daughter of Helen R. (Stamm) Lamm and the late J. Herman Lamm.
She was a graduate of Wyomissing High School.
She was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church in Wyomissing, was an active member of the Berkshire Country Club and Berks County YR Club, and was a Dancer with the Marie Harris Dance Group. Dorothea was also a Figure Skater and performed in many annual shows with the Hershey Figure Skating Club, having earned many rank advancements as well. She loved to sing, play the piano and even painted in her younger years. She was once an active member of the Reading Hospital Auxiliary.
In addition to her mother she is survived by a son, Jeffrey L. Parsons husband of Carla; a sister, Geraldine L. Peek; a brother, Franklin C. Lamm; three grandsons, Ian Parsons husband of Dani, Christopher Parsons husband of Ann, and Andre Parsons; and great grandchildren, Sunny, Alicia, Lili and Link
She was also predeceased by her son, Thomas L. Parsons, Jr. and former husband Thomas L Parsons, Sr.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing, with Rev. Rick Summy officiating.
Interment will follow at Bern Church Cemetery.
A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM at the Church.
