- Jacob C. Isenberg, a well inown and highly respected citizen of Alexandria, died at the home of his son, Benj. C., at that place, on September 13, after a short illness. The deceased was born in the Loop, near Alexandria, August 6, 1833, being 77 years, 1 month and 2 days old at his death. He is survived by these brothers: William H., of Alexandria; Samuel V., of Tacoma, Wash., and Benj. R., of McKeesport. The following children also survive: Alfred G., William V., Benj. C., and M. P., of Alexandria: Blair W., of Ashland, Nebraska; Mrs. P. O. Ammerman, of Tyrone, and Mrs. Robert Wallace, of Arch Springs.
Mr. Isenberg was a lifelong and faithful member of the Reformed church. He was a good man and was loved by all who knew him.
Funeral services were conducted in Christ Reformed church, Alexandria, Thursday last at 2:30 p.m. by Rev. Charles A. Huyette, of Williamsburg, assisted by Revs. Stewart and Watkins. Interment was made in the Presbyterian cemetery.
