David Brian Mudd, 73 of Waldorf, MD passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 20, 2018.
He was born on October 17, 1944 in LaPlata, MD. He was the son of the late Joseph Burch Mudd and Helen Louise Simpson Mudd.
He grew up on the Dr. Samuel Mudd farm in Waldorf, MD. David was the great grandson of Dr. Samuel A. Mudd. He was an Army veteran serving during the Vietnam era.
David loved hunting, crabbing and fishing. He was a bartender for many years at Gallant Green Bar.
He was predeceased by his brother Joseph A. Mudd (Barbara); sister Nancy Hayden (Alan) and granddaughter Amanda Duer.
He is survived by his wife, Lois E. Mudd, sons, David Brian Mudd, Jr.(Alison), James Posey (Michele), Kevin Posey (Jen), daughter, Bonnie Summers, sister’s Ann Wills, Betty Keller (Ernest), brother, Samuel Mudd
(Wanda), five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends for David’s Life Celebration Viewing on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm with prayers at 7pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home, 30195 Three Notch Road, Charlotte Hall, MD 20622. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 12pm at Brinsfield Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 11301 Crain Highway, Cheltenham, MD 20622 at 1:45pm.
Pallbearers will be: Brian Hare, David Hare, Jr., Ernie Keller, Charlie Keller, Gary Roper and Alex Mudd.
