  Harry P. Stryker, nearly 75, died at the Ida Grove hospital, Thursday, April 30, following a paralytic stroke suffered several days previously at his home here. He is survived by his wife, two sons, Earl and Frank, five sisters, a brother, two granddaughters and a great-grandson. Harry Peter Stryker, son of John and Martha Stryker, was born May 13, 1867, at Tipton, Cedar county, Iowa, and there grew into manhood. He was one of a family of eleven children. He was married December 25, 1889, to Ella Winifred Smith. Seven years later the couple came to make their home in Ida county. They spent 27 years on a farm in Silver Creek township and 19 years in Arthur. They moved to Ida Grove in December, 1940. Mr. Stryker had enjoyed reasonably good health until a few days before his death, when he suffered a stroke from which he did not rally. He was 74 years, 11 months, 17 days of age when he died.
