- WILKINSON RITES ARE CONDUCTED AT RETZ CHAPEL
Funeral services for Oren C. Wilkinson, retired smelterman who died Saturday at Salem, Ore., were conducted today in the chapel at the Retz funeral home.
Dr. George S. Morrell officiated and interment was in the family plot in the East Helena cemetery.
Mr. Wilkinson was born Sept. 1, 1875, at Tipton, Iowa. He was a long time employe of the American Smelting and Refining company in East Helena, retiring in 1942. He moved to Salem two years ago where he resided with his daughter, Mrs. R. C. Harder. Mr. Wilkinson was preceded in death by his wife, Nanny, who died Sept. 24, 1946, in Helena.
He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Vera Grove, Eugene, Ore., Mrs. Zepha Harder, Salem and Mrs. Cheryl Hamm, Seaside, Ore. Mrs. Hamm and Mrs. Harder attended the funeral.
Also surviving are three brothers, A. Wilkinson, Stockton, Calif.; E. Wilkinson, Ft. Collins, Colo., and John WIlkinson, Forestelle, Mo., a sister, Mrs. James Cannon, Forestelle, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Mr. Wilkinson was a member for over 50 years of the Modern Woodmen of the World and the Neighbors of Woodcraft.
