  Dr. Adolph W. Styer Jr., 85, of Reading passed away April 23, 2012, at 2 a.m. in Reading Hospital & Medical Center, where he was a patient for four days. He was the husband of Shirley P. (Yohe) Styer, who passed away Dec. 1, 2010. Born in Reading on Jan. 13, 1927, he was the son of the late Adolph W. Styer Sr. and the late Angela (Curry) Styer. He was a 1945 graduate of Central Catholic High School, St. Francis College 1947-49, University of Pittsburgh 1950, University of Pittsburgh Dental School 1950-54. He was the House Manager of PSI Omega Dental Fraternity and Past President of Graduate Study Club. He set up his dental practice in West Reading in 1956. He was Past President of Reading Eagle Bowling League, Past President of Medical Dental Bureau, Past Secretary Berks County Dental Society, Past President of Exchange Club of Reading, Past President West Reading Board of Trustees and served on West Reading Borough Council. Surviving are seven children, 14 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a brother and two sisters.
