  Russell H. Blatt, 96, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away on May 14, 2016 at Zerbe Sisters Nursing Center. Born in Sinking Spring, he was the son of the late Harvey E. and Margaret S. (Miller) Blatt. Russell was a U.S. Army veteran, proudly serving his country during World War II. He went on to be employed as a dyer at Berkshire Knitting Mills for 25 years and as a customer service representative at Crompton & Knowles for 14 years, retiring in 1975. He was predeceased by his wife, Dorothy V. (Barto) Blatt. Survivors include his nephew, Frank A. Amedeo of Port Charlotte, Fla.; and niece, Patricia A. White of Exeter Twp. He is also survived by several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Ignatius Loyola RCC, 2810 St. Albans Dr., Sinking Spring, on Friday, May 20, 2016 at 12:00. The family will receive friends and relatives at church, from 11-11:45 a.m. The interment will follow the service at Sinking Spring Cemetery.
