- Wayne And Ruthann Deiterich Obituary
Wayne K. Deiterich, 89, and his wife, Ruthann S. Deiterich 86, both of Reinholds, formerly of Sinking Spring, joined the Lord on Sunday December 31, 2023. Wayne and Ruthann celebrated 68 years of marriage together. Wayne was a US Navy Veteran serving from 1952-1960, worked for Weis Markets, L & J Tool & Die Shop, Graco, and Western Berks Ambulance. Ruthann was a music teacher at Berks Christian School, a secretary for Grace Bible Fellowship Church, and a homemaker. Wayne and Ruthann attended the West Wyomissing Chapel for 60 years; Ruthann loved directing the church choir.
Wayne, a son of the late H. Paul and Beatrice (Kester) Deiterich, was born in Bloomsburg, Pa. Ruthann, a daughter of the late Ralph B. and Mary R. (Labor) Stoker was born in Benton, Pa.
Wayne and Ruthann are survived by three children, Gregory W. Deiterich, W. Thomas Deiterich, husband of Michele, and Lynn A. Dunn, wife of Christopher; six grandchildren, Gregory W. Deiterich II, husband of Brandy, Brent T. Deiterich, husband of Amber, Courtney E. Litchert, wife of Chadd, Sarah L. Dunn, Evan M. Dunn, husband of Shawna, and Jillian B. Deiterich; and five great grandchildren. Wayne is survived by a brother, Larry P. Deiterich, Bloomsburg, Pa, and Ruthann is survived by a sister, Vera Bonislawski, Maplewood, New Jersey. They were preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon M. Lape, and Ruthann’s brother, Bruce Stoker and sister, Blache Ulichney.
A viewing will be held from 9:00 AM until noon, followed by a funeral service on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at West Wyomissing Chapel, 2055 Reading Blvd., West Lawn, Pa 19609. Burial will be private for the family.
