  Thomas Lee Shumaker was born Feb 25, 1943 to Glenn Jo and Bernice (Hite) Shumaker. He was a larger than life guy that had a love for Outdoor Sports, Labrador Retrievers, home cooked b-b-q, and so much more! He married Cheryl Ann (Allen) b July 28, 1946 (Olds Iowa to Wilbur and Maxine (Carden) Allen) after attending college at Drake University. They settled in Davenport, Iowa where they had two daughters Samantha (Shumaker) Hayes Hardin b Sept 29, 1966 (Des Moines Iowa) & Heidi Jo (Shumaker) Goodwin Weaver b Dec 18, 1969 (Davenport Iowa) d Aug 8, 2020 (Tennessee). He worked for Oscar Mayer as a Quality Control Supervisor. While living in Iowa he made many great friends who he would entertain with great food and funny stories or a day hunting. Eventually Oscar Mayer offered him a move to Hendersonville TN. He lived there until 1988. He spent many hours on the lake and in the woods with terrific friends and family. He then moved to Montana where he purchased a small Meat Packing Plant in Havre Montana. Shortly there after he and his first wife divorced. She returned to Tennessee as did his two daughters. He met Julie (Finley) b April 24, 1963 (Minnesota) and they married September 1, 1989. They moved from Havre to White Sulphur Springs MT and then to Manhattan Montana. He added Charity Shumaker to the family through adoption. And then Gunnar W Shumaker was born July 3, 1992 (Montana). During his time in Montana he went back to college. After graduation he worked in the Wildlife Biology field. Eventually due to health issues he retired and spent quality time with his family, friends, and chocolate labs. After his father (Glenn Jo Shumaker) passed away in Mission TX his mother (Bernice B Hite Shumaker) moved two doors down. She too enjoyed time with the family and most especially the chocolate lab Molly.
