  Mervin H. Reich, 90, a life-long resident of Ephrata passed away on Wednesday, September 08, 2021. He was born November 26, 1930, the son of the late Mahlon Z. and Emma (Hertzog) Reich. Mervin served in the U.S. Air Force as a Tail Gunner during the Korean War and completed twenty-nine bombing missions. He worked for Leon M. Martin Roofing and Siding of Hinkletown for eighteen years, prior to retiring in 1981. Mervin was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3376, Amvets Post 136, and American Legion Post 429, all of Ephrata, and was a member of the Reamstown Athletic Association. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister: Shirley Smith; and, his brother: Harold Reich. Mervin is survived by his sisters: Pauline Townsley, Kathryn Hackman, and Faye Allgyer; his nieces and nephews; and, his brother-in-law: Ray Smith. Final care will be private.
