- Mrs. Evan E. Lape Cora A. (Degler), wife of Evan E. Lape, former residents of Myerstown, died at the home of her son, Evan C. Lape, Dallas, Tex., according to word received here. Six months ago the Lape's left Myerstown to visit their son in Texas, where she was taken ill several weeks ago. She was a daughter of Adaline and the late Cyrus Degler. Mrs. Lape was a member of Schaefferstown Reformed Church. Surviving are her mother, her husband, two sons, Leroy, this city, and Evan C. at whose home she died; two daughters, Cora, wife of C. L. Pleam, West Reading, and Annie S., wife of Max Ratajczak, West Reading; six grandchildren and two brothers, John L. Degler, Boyertown, and D. J. Degler, Sheridan. Funeral Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from the home of her son, Leroy Lape, 2539 Perkiomen Avenue, the Rev. A. J. Bachman officiating. Interment in Womelsdorf Cemetery, in charge of Funeral Directors F. F.
