- Lizzie M. Martin, 84, of 1841 Creston Drive, Lebanon, died Monday at Medical Center Hospital in Punta Gorda, Fla., of natural causes. She was the wife of Nathaniel K. Martin. Born in Ephrata Township, she was a daughter of the late Lemon and Amanda Sweigert Gockley. She was a member of Krall's Menonnite Church, Lebanon. She was an avid quilter, having sewn for the Good Samaritan Hospital Ladies Auxiliary. Surviving in addition to her husband are seven sons, Kenneth G. of Mousie, Ky., Nathaniel G. of Annville, James L. of Mechanicsburg, Carl, Paul, Stanley, all of Lebanon, and Melvin of Fallston, Md.; and five daughters, Lorraine,wife of Leon Weaver of Ephrata, Marilyn, wife of Karl Grumbine of Manheim, Janet, wife of Robert Rittle of Lebanon, Betty, wife of Jesse Beiler of Fredericksburg, and Nancy, wife of Ivan Weaver of Bethel. Also surviving are 40 grandchildren;43 great-grandchildren; and four brothers, John Gockley of Myerstown, Harry Gockley of Newmanstown, Charles Gockley of Denver, and Jacob Gockley of Ephrata.
