- William (Bill) Francis Brossman, Sr., 89, of Breinigsville, beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014, at home. He was married to M. Lucille (Frey) Brossman for 65 years, celebrating their milestone anniversary in June. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Dr. Martin W. and S. Eleanor (Ruth) Brossman. He was an aeronautical engineer at Westinghouse Electric in Kansas City, Missouri, and at Lycoming Textron in Stratford, Connecticut. He retired in 1986. Bill graduated from Parks College of St. Louis University in 1951 and was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in Europe. A member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown, he was also a lifelong tennis player and teacher, and model train enthusiast. Survivors: include his wife, M. Lucille; son, William Francis Brossman Jr. and his wife, Euna, of Plainsboro, NJ; son, Scott Frey Brossman and his wife, Lisa, of Seymour CT; daughter, Barbara Lucille Armeno of Cheshire, CT; grandchildren Jennifer Armeno Duca, Kimberly Armeno, Katherine, Molly, William Francis III and Scott Brossman, Jr. Bill was predeceased by his brother, Martin, of Washington, D.C and sister, Ruth W. Dent, of Schnecksville. Services: 10:00 a.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at Jordan United Church of Christ, 1837 Church Rd., Allentown. A calling hour will begin at 9:00 a.m. in the church parlor.
