23 Oct 1922: Mrs. Mabel Klopp, wife of Roy Klopp, the Sheridan feed, lumber and coal merchant, and daughter of Rev. Dr. and Mrs. J. Lewis Fluck, of Myerstown, died Sunday evening at the Lebanon Sanitorium from the effects of a complication of diseases that had their inception in stomach trouble and gastritis. She was taken ill about six weeks ago, and for some time was under treatment at the home of her parents. A week ago today she was brought to the local hospital in the hope that constant supervision by surgeons and professional nursing would restore her health but the effort proved unavailing. She was aged about twenty-five years. Mrs. Klopp was the only child of the pastor of the Myerstown reformed church, and their inexpressible grief with that of the husband is shared by a large circle of friends at Myerstown and Sheridan and vicinity. Following her marriage upward of three years ago Mrs. Klopp continued her activities in her father's church and Sunday school, but at the same time greatly endeared herself to neighbors and acquaintances in her new home region. Of pleasing personality and cheerful disposition, and possessed of charming traits and mind, she won friends wherever she was known and her death is deeply deplored. She leaves no children.
