- Ruth Naomi (Bennetch) Yingst, 91, of Stevens, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at her residence.
Born in Lebanon, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Sallie (Sholly) Bennetch and was the wife of the late Lewis I. Yingst.
She was a member of Ephrata Church of the Brethren and attended Steinmetz Church, Lebanon Gospel Center and Richland Church of the Brethren. She enjoyed going to church and helping out in the kitchen. Family was very important to her and she enjoyed cooking, putting together photo albums and collecting.
Ruth had worked at Parkside Manor, Miesee Bakery, Nichols Dept. Store and was a nanny for several families.
Ruth is survived by three sons: James D., husband of Carmen Yingst of Hemet, CA; John A., husband of Patsy M. (Wenzel) Yingst of Millsboro, DE; and Joel L., husband of Susan (Fern) Yingst of Ephrata; seven grandchildren: Lewis A. Yingst, Lisa A. Sweigart, Tara L. Yingst, Trent D. Yingst, Tahlia S. Brunner, Jane J. Rosewall, and Laura Rosewall; twelve great-grandchildren: Kayla, Alyson, Jayden, Jesse, Dakota, Joseph, Trent, Ashlyn, Jackson, Arianna, Richie and Danielle; and two great-great-grandchildren: Olivia and Adylin.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her siblings: Mark Bennetch, Arthur Bennetch, Emma Hickernell, and Benjamin Bennetch; and two grandchildren, Bonnie and Mijou.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2012 from 9:00 am to 11:00 a.m. at the Ephrata Church of the Brethren, 201 Crescent Ave., Ephrata. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM. with Pastors Galen Hackman and Rob Eshelman officiating. Burial will take place in the Fairview Cemetery Annex.
