  wife of John, 42yrs 9m and 28 days, from a cemetery record by HL Murphy, age is calculated and may not be correct! ∼ Born in Washington Twp/ Stark County, OH. Rebeeca Jane Lape's maiden surname was Hoffman, d/o Farmer Abraham & Mary HOFFMAN. She'd married John Henry Lape (Find A Grave #74950818) in 1858. The couple had eight children. Info provided by G. Charles Ogline Lantay. Suggested edit: Hi. I just submitted an edit for her place of birth. I notice the bio has a lot of incorrect info. Rebecca's Christening record in Pennsylvania at Trinity Tulpehocken Church shows her birth date of 31 Mar 1840 and a Christening date of 8 Jun 1840. The church was just across the county line in Lebanon Co., but she and her family lived in Marion Twp, Berks County where she was born. The 1850 census has her with her parents Jonathan & Hannah Klopp there in Marion Twp. In 1860 she is still in Marion Twp but listed as Rebecca Lape along with her first child Sarah, age 5 months. 1870 has Rebecca in Stark Co., OH with her husband John with 5 kids now including Sarah, now age 10. 1880 has them in Seneca Co., OH with two additional kids and Sarah is now 20. Also, the 1883 probate record of Rebecca's mother Hannah Klopp lists the 9 children of her now deceased daughter Rebecca (Klopp) Lape, intermarried with John H. Lape, so we can see that Rebecca Klopp is the same person as represented in this findagrave memorial for Rebecca (Klopp) Lape. Thanks!
