  Wilhelm was the son of Johan Wilhelm Leimeister & Anna Elisabeth Faulhaber. He is a DAR patriot ancestor (the DAR standardized the spelling as Lymaster). Although DAR applications indicate he was born in PA, the family came to this county in 1748, so he was born in Germany - most likely in Großwinternheim or Schwabensheim. He married Elizabeth Wagner. Their children included: Philip, Magdalena (Wagner), Maria (Druckenmiller), Christina (Miller), Elisabeth (Klein), Jacob, Catharine (Moyer), & Jonathan.
