When he was 19, he married Eva Catarina (Catharina) Schneider,daughter of Matthias Schneider and Anna Margarete (Maggarete), on May 21, 1699 in Alpenrod, Westerwaldkreis, Rheinland-Pfalz, Germany. When he was 30, he married Anna Veronica Schneider,daughter of Johann Wilhelm Schneider and Juliana Catharina Dick, about 1710 in Germantown, Columbia, New York, USA (Based on birth of Gertraut in 1711).
