Mr. Schneider, student pastor of the Congregational church. Pallbearers were Harold Boe, W. K. Amery, Ross Williams, E. J. Huseby, Stuart Nicholason and Jake Plaggerman. Burial was in Mountain View Cemetery beside the body of her husband, Thomas G. Shipton, who died April 28, 1928. Mrs. Shipton died at the home of her son, Clarence Shipton, with whom she had lived for many years. Survivors are four sons, Dan K. Shipton, of Missoula; Alvin Shipton, of McIntyre, Iowa and Harry D. and Clarence F. Shipton, both of Big Timber. Mrs. Shipton was born February 9, 1865, in Fayette County, Iowa. She was married there November 22, 1848(sic). she and Mr. Shipton came to Montana in 1885, living on a ranch on the Boulder River, near the Natural Bridge. The family moved into town in 1896 and they had resided here ever since. Mrs. Shipton was a member of the Evangelical church, and had been a member of the Royal Neighbors for many years. ---------- Great Falls Tribune newspaper, Great Falls, MT Monday 22 July 1946; Page 4, Column 4 Ida Shipton Big Timber - Funeral services for Ida Shipton, 81, widow of Thomas G.
