- Hannah B. Bannon, 87, of Sellersville, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2016 in the Souderton Mennonite Homes, Franconia Twp. She was the beloved wife of 58 years to the late Norris C. Bannon who died in 2012.
Born in Lansdale, she was a daughter of the late Webster M. and Hannah (Brunner) Benner.
Mrs. Bannon was employed as a bookkeeper for her daughter’s business for 10 years. She was previously employed as an inspector at the former DeLoux Sweater Factory in Sellersville for eight years, and in her earlier years cared for children in her home.
Mrs. Bannon was a member of the Rockhill Mennonite Church in Telford where she participated in the sewing circle, taught Summer Bible School and served as treasurer for her Sunday School class. In her free time, she enjoyed camping with the Campliter’s.
She is survived by a daughter, Pamela Baker and her husband Robert of Telford, three sons: Walter Bannon and his wife Rose of Perkasie, twin sons: Kevin Bannon and his wife Jan of Quakertown, and Keith Bannon and his wife Theresa of Hatfield, eleven grandchildren, and was anticipating her first great grandchild in October, a brother, Webster B. Benner and his wife Dorothy of VanWert, OH. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Kevin Marc Bannon who died in 2011, two sisters: Ruth B. Yoder and Regina B. Moyer, and three brothers: Robert B., Ralph B,. and Charles B. Benner.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11 AM in the Rockhill Mennonite Church, 3100 Meetinghouse Road, Telford. Interment will follow in the adjoining church cemetery. Family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM at the Souderton Mennonite Homes, 207 W. Summit St., Souderton, and again on Friday morning at the church from 9-11 AM prior to the service.
