  Newspaper Obituary - January 24, 2004 The Reporter (Lansdale, PA) Edna S. Moore, 92, of Telford, formerly of Souderton, died Thursday, January 22, 2004 in the Lutheran Community at Telford. She was the wife of the late Benjamin L. Moore, who died in 1975. Born in Hatfield, she was a daughter of the late Garrett and Mathilda (Barndt) Schrauger. Mrs. Moore was employed by Dr. Frank Boston for more than 20 years after which she graduated from the former Philadelphia School of Practical Nursing in 1961. As a licensed practical nurse, she then worked for Dr. Wayne Bucher and then for Dr. Eugene Helsel prior to her retirement in 1976. After retirement she volunteered with Doylestown and Grand View hospitals where she accumulated more than 2,000 hours of volunteer service. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in Hatfield where she served as the church organist from 1926 to 1990. She also directed the adult and children's choir and served on the worship and music committee. She served on the church council where she became a member emeritus and belonged to the WELCA Committee, the Over-Sixty Club, and the Active Seniors Club. Mrs. Moore was a member of the Souderton Senior Adult Activity Center, the Hatfield Lioness Club, and the Voluneer Medical Service Corps of Lansdale. She sis survived by two daughters, Kathryn "Betty" Murray of Bedminster, and Hazel Joanne Mascaro and her husband jerry of Hatfield; a son, Lawrence "Larry" Moore and his wife Aimee of Navarre, FL; a daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Moore of Kensington, MD; and 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceeded in death by a son, Herbert Moore; a grandson, James Moore; and five brothers and a sister.
