- Jean, 77, of Webberville, MI. and formerly of Lansing, MI passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014. Jean was born to Willis and Virginia (Moray) Howe.
She was a graduate of East Lansing High School class of 1957. Jean was a founding member of the Woodlawn Eagles, a past Madam President, and former Mason/Holt Eagles member. She was very active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts serving as a camp leader. Jean also enjoyed 4H, and spent many hours cooking for the UAW 602.
She worked as a cook and hostess for Flap Jack until 1999. Jean was very generous and cared dearly for others; she always had an open heart and open door to those in need.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred Billings; brother, Dick Howe; and brother-in-law, Rex Rutherford.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Michael) Fuller; sons, Robert (Ruth) Jones Jr., Victor (Gale) Jones; 7 grandchildren, 1 great grand child, sisters, Naomi (Robert) Sherman, Patricia Rutherford; brother, John (Joyce) Howe; sister-in-law, Shirley Howe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing chapel.
A luncheon immediately followed at the Mason VFW Post 309.

Wilma "Jean" Billings (Howe, Jones), of Webberville and formerly of Lansing, MI passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2014 at the age of 77. Jean was born on June 6, 1937 to Willis and Virginia (Moray) Howe. She was a graduate of East Lansing High School class of 1956. Jean was a founding charter member of the Woodland Eagles 3782 and served as past Madam President of the Grand Auxiliary. She was also a member of the Mason/Holt Eagles 3734. She was very active in Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts, 4H and UAW 602 serving on many committees. Jean worked as a Hostess for Flap Jack Pancake House in Lansing until 1999 and knew her regular customers well. Jean had a very generous heart and cared dearly for others; she always had an open heart and open door to those in need. Jean's most recent adventure was her stay at Home Sweet Home where she made many new friends. She loved to travel and see new sights.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Fred Billings, her brother Dick Howe, and brother-in-law, Rex Rutherford.
Surviving are her daughter, Karen (Michael) Fuller; sons, Robert (Ruth) Jones Jr., Victor (Gale) Jones; 7 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sisters, Naomi (Robert) Sherman, Patricia Rutherford; brother, John (Joyce) Howe; sister-in-law, Shirley Howe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 6, 2014 at Skinner Funeral Home, Lansing chapel with visitation starting at noon. Burial will take place at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens with a luncheon immediately following at the Mason VFW Post 7309.
