- Beatrice Hazel (Maxson) FOOTE
Beatrice "Bea" Hazel Foote (93) passed away peacefully at home, our wonderful, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother joined her husband and two sons in Heaven on November 25, 2018. Bea was born to Bert and Hazel (Howe) Maxson on August 19, 1925 at their farm in Buffalo Gap, South Dakota. After moving to Rapid City, South Dakota to attend high school, she met her beloved husband of 64 years, Murl Foote. Bea and Murl relocated to the Spokane area after having their four children where they lived for many years.
After lovingly raising her children, Bea worked for the Spokane Public School District as a food service manager for 18 years. Once retired, she enjoyed working in her garden, spending time with her grandchildren, and donating time with her church.
Bea was preceded in death by her husband Murl Wesley Foote, sons Ronald Murl Foote and Jerry Bert Foote, and great-grandson Kyle Lewis.
She is survived by her two daughters, Ethel L. Huotari (Auburn, WA) and Sandra L. Schumacher (Spokane Valley, WA), along with 11 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 12 great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Bea will always be remembered as a very strong, kind, caring, loving woman and will be dearly missed by her loved ones.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 3 at Valley 4th Memorial Church, 2303 S. Bowdish Rd., Spokane Valley, WA.
