  22 Dec 2020, Revised 23 Dec 2020: Biography of Florence by distant relative Grant Collar, b.1931 Arkansas - through my paternal grandmother, Grace May PIERSOL Collar (1880-1964), whose paternal aunt was Grace PIERSOL Courtney (1803/09-1897), who married Michael COURTNEY (1802/13-1846). They had nine children, including John Monroe COURTNEY (1840-1916). Florence was the second wife of John Monroe COURTNEY. They married 15 Feb 1885 Cherryvale, Montgomery County, Kansas and had both of their two children there. Florence was the daughter of John's real estate business partner, J.W. WILLIS. The Courtney family moved after 1900 Census from Cherryvale to Los_Angeles, California. John died there 1916, and Florence died 26_years later. She was cremated by Angelus Rosedale Cemetery/Crematorium - where John was buried. The two children of Florence and John were: E.C.M. COURTNEY (son), b: Jan 1886 Cherryvale, Montgomery County, Kansas (No FAGM found on_21_Dec_2020). Rhea Y.
