  Jordan Thompson Sr., a retired internist at East Jefferson General Hospital, died Monday at his home. He was 76. Dr. Thompson was born in Newport, R.I., and lived in Metairie for the past 49 years. He was a graduate of Franklin and Marshall College and of the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. He was a Navy veteran. He was a former chief of pulmonary medicine at Veterans Affairs Medical Center and a member of the Louisiana State Medical Society and Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. (List of living survivors withheld) A funeral will be held today at noon at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery.
