  Burial of Deborah Lindley Newlin probably took place in LICK CREEK FRIENDS CEMETERY in Orange County, Indiana. Deborah, with her son, Thomas, and his growing family, moved 500 miles from Alamance County, North Carolina to Orange County, Indiana. On April 17, 1824, Lick Creek Monthly Meeting in Paoli, Indiana recorded: "Newlin - Deborah received on certificate from Spring MM, NC". Thomas and Candace Newlin were also received from Spring Monthly Meeting on that date. Two of Deborah's sons, Jonathan Newlin and William Newlin, had previously migrated from North Carolina to Orange County, Indiana in 1816 and 1817. Jonathan Lindley, Deborah's brother, was living in Indiana when he included his sister in his Will - signed on September 22, 1824 in Orange County. Thomas and Candace Newlin and their eleven children (some with spouses) moved from Orange County, Indiana to Howard County, Indiana in 1852. There is no mention of Deborah in the Minutes of Honey Creek Monthly Meeting located in New London. Unfortunately, Deborah Lindley Newlin's death and burial records did not survive. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Inscription In Memory of James and Deborah Lindley Newlin James, son of John and Mary (Pyle) Newlin, born in Pennsylvania 27-IX-1747, died in this community 15-X-1813; married 22-I-1772 Deborah, daughter of Thomas and Ruth H. Lindley born 28-VI-1755. In 1823, Deborah moved to Indiana.
