- Beatrice T. Sheetz, 79, Bernville, died Oct. 3, 2006, in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since Sept. 23.
She was the loving wife for 59 years of E. Thomas Sheetz.
Born in Bernville, she was a daughter of the late Ralph S. and Margaret (Kreitz) Tobias.
She was last employed as a receptionist and office worker for Premier Mills, Reading, until her retirement. Previously she was employed by R.M. Palmer Co., West Reading, and Bethel & Mount Aetna Telephone Co.
A graduate of Reading Business Institute, she was a member of Kissinger's Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.
Her family was foremost in her life and she enjoyed reading, gardening at home and oceanside vacations to North Carolina.
She also is survived by a son, Craig T. and his wife, Bonnie W., Sheetz, West Chester.
Other survivors include two grandchildren, Timothy A. and Jennifer N. Sheetz. There also is a cousin, Gladys Groff.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in Kissinger's Lutheran Church, 715 Berkshire Blvd., Wyomissing, PA 19610, with the Rev. Sandra Wisco officiating.
Burial will be in Christ (Little Tulpehocken) Cemetery, Jefferson Township. The family will receive friends Saturday in the church one hour prior to service. Contributions may be made to the memorial fund of Kissinger's Lutheran Church at the above address or the American Cancer Society, 498 Bellevue Ave., Reading, PA 19605. The Kirkhoff Funeral Home, Bernville, is in charge of arrangements.
