- Walter R. Boltz
Services for Walter R. Boltz, 54, of Zweizig Road, Shoemakersville, will be Monday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. Roy M. Neideigh will officiate in First United Church of Christ, Hamburg. Burial will be in Zion's Cemetery, Perry Township. The Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Hamburg, is in charge. Boltz died Wednesday morning in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where he was a patient since Tuesday. Born in Upper Bern Township, he was a son of Walter J. and Pearl (Wagner) Boltz, Bernville R.D. 1. He was a member of First UCC, Hamburg; Vaux Lodge 406, F&AM, Hamburg; Rajah Temple AAONMS; AASR Valley of Reading, and the Goodwill Fire Company and Beneficial Association, Hyde Park. Boltz was a self-employed contractor. His first wife, Lillian S. (Adam) Boltz, died Jan. 18, 1968. Surviving in addition to his parents, are his wife, Dorothy E. (Hemerly) Boltz, two sons: Ronald, Reading, and Steven, Clairmont, Calif.; two grandsons. Four brothers: Edwin, Auburn; Leroy, Hamburg R.D. 1; Kenneth, Mohrsville R.D. 1 and Leon, Lenhartsville R.D. 1, and six sisters: Grace, wife of Stanley Phillips; Mabel, wife of Stanley Rentschler; Arlene, wife of Charles Smith, and Miriam, wife of Ronald Haas, all of Mohrsville R.D. 1. Also Helen, wife of Ernest Heckman, Lenhartsville, and Florence, wife of Charles Rothermel, Reading.
