  Miss Susan Elizabeth Spohn, 20, 608 N, Chestnut St., Palmyra, was found dead late Thursday near the Pine Woods Camp in North Londonderry Township. She was a daughter of Isaac W. and Elsie I. Troutman Spohn, Palmyra. . Miss Spohn was a graduate of Palmyra Area High School, class of 1961 and Hershey Junior College, class of 1963. She had registered this year as a senior at the Pennsylvania State University, but withdrew shortly after classes began. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ, Palmyra. Surviving, in addition to her parents, are one sister, Miss Rachael C. Spohn, at home, and her grandmother, Mrs. Elvy Troutman, Bernville. Miss Spohn was found by a searching party of Palmyra fire police and Palmyra firemen who investigated the camp area after they saw a car parked there. It is believed that Miss Spohn's death occurred sometime between 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. Wednesday. Dr. Richard Eckroth, Lebanon County deputy coroner, said death was caused by a self-inflicted gunshot wound. [Lebanon Daily News, October 9, 1964, Page 2]
