"Mrs. Mamie Gockley Dies At Age 88
Mrs. Mamie R. Gockley, 88, formerly of Rothsville, died Monday, July 8, at Lancaster General Hospital. She had been residing at Pleasant View Rest Home, Manheim R5.
She was the widow of Aaron Gockley, who died Feb. 16, 1975. She was a member of Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rothsville.
She is survived by three children, Dorothy M., wife of Earl Myers, Akron; Samuel M. Gockley, St. Louis, Mo., and Jacob Gockley, Lititz; nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Walter Miller, Myerstown RD; Mabel Witmer, Elizabethtown; Lloyd Miller, Reinholds RD; Margie Pickle, Middletown; Maude, wife of Ray Winters, Hummelstown, and Alberta, wife of William Carter, Norristown.
The funeral will be held on Thursday, July 6, from Stradling Funeral Home, Akron. Interment in Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Rothsville."
