  Funeral services were held Thursday, Aug. 7th, in the Blunt Community Church, with the Methodist minister of Pierre officiating. Etta was buried in Blunt cemetery with the funeral rites of the Eastern Star. Etta came to South Dakota in 1890. She was married to Hal P. Westover. Seven children were born to them: Wingra, Mrs. Clarence Odemark, Pierre; Carlos and George, both of Pierre; Mrs. Helen Anderson, Watertown; Mrs. Louise Thompson, Rapid City; Curtis, Aberdeen; and Mrs. Nancy Brumfield, Big Springs, TX. Mr. Westover died in 1908 and she married Joseph Higgins, Sep. 15, 1909, in Hughes county. After she suffered a stroke they moved to Pierre and lived with her daughter Wingra. Mr. Higgins died in 1947. Etta is survived by seven children, nine grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and a step-daughter, Edith Higgins of Rochester, NY.
