  Peggy Joyce (Evers) Williams was the daughter of Harvey Edward Evers, Sr. and Pearl Mae Lovett Evers. Her greatest investment was in the wonderful family she and her husband Bruce Sr. built together. She and Bruce were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and raised their children in that church. She was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, and she is dearly missed. She died of esophageal cancer on Feb 23, 2001 at Parkwest Medical Center, Knoxville. Her funeral was held Feb 26, 2001 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Oak Ridge, TN. Graveside service and burial immediately followed the service. (Her obituary was published in The Oak Ridger [Oak Ridge, TN], Feb 26, 2001. Her obit says she was born in 1927, but this is an error. Her birth in 1928 is well attested in family documents, her gravestone, and elsewhere.)
