- Bruce Edward Williams, Sr., 87 of Oak Ridge passed away on August 10, 2013 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was born August 29, 1925 in Rewey, Wisconsin to parents Henry H. Williams and Mary Ruth Hackman Williams. Mr. Williams retired from Martin Marietta Energy Systems in 1992 as a machinist after 30 years of service. He was a veteran with the U.S. Army and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He was a kind and loving gentle man who loved his family and all things nature. He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Peggy Joyce Evers Williams in 2001 and by his brother, Charles Henry Williams and sister, June Ponder.

The private family funeral service was held Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 7:30 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 140 S. Jefferson Cr., Oak Ridge, TN 37830, with Bishop Eric Tobler officiating. The graveside service was held at Oak Ridge Memorial Park, Wednesday, 10 AM.
